#22 The Art of Walking in Someone Else's Shoes
What does walking a mile in someone else's shoes mean to you?
"Walking in someone's shoes" means not to judge a person by what they do, because you don't know the adversity or hardships they've faced to bring them to their current situtation. Before being quick to judge someone for their actions, you should always try to put yourself in their shoes.
How do you put yourself in someone's shoes?
How do I imagine myself in the situation or circumstances of another person, so that I can understand or empathize with their perspective, opinion, or point of view.
If I want to understand or empathize with someone elses perspective, opinion or point of view, I have to take my own shoes off.
So, are you prepared to take off your shoes?
And what does that even look like?
