Our desire to connect with others is ingrained in our very being. From the moment we are born we seek the touch and belonging of our maternal bond. Studies show that this need for connection and belonging only grows stronger as we navigate this separation from our parents during our teenage years. That's why it's important for us to fill like we fit in that we belong somewhere.

 

Our ancestors knew that survival was more likely when a part of a tribe than by existing alone. We are truly wired for connection and finding out where we came from, where our roots originated has become a renewed priority for many.

 

But where do we start to gather information about our ancestors and how can we keep their stories alive?  I have six suggestions for finding and connecting with your family of the past.
